Network Password
Network passwords expire every 60 days. At that time, you will be prompted to change your password after you have entered your username, password, and select OK at the Novell login screen. Follow these instructions for changing your network password.
  • Enter your Username and Password at the network login screen. Select OK. A dialog box will appear stating that your password has expired and asking if you would like to change your network password. NOTE:You will be allowed 5 grace logins. If you do not change your password before all the grace logins have been used, you will not be able to access the network and must call the Helpdesk to gain access to your account. Therefore, it is a good idea to change your password when it expires so you do not loose count of how many grace logins remain.
  • Select Yes at the change password prompt. The Change Password dialog box appears.
  • Enter a new password at the Enter new password box. NOTE: A password must be 5 or more characters and can not be the current password. However, you can use previous passwords.
  • Press Tab to advance to the next box.
  • Retype your new password at the Retype new password box.
  • Remove the highlighting from any options selected in the Syncronize dialog box. NOTE: If you fail to remove the highlighting, you will be prompted to change the password on all other systems, i.e. Windows.
  • Select OK to change your network password.
