What do you need to do to get a computer account?
A COD Enterprise Network
account is your gateway to the College
of DuPage network. This account allows you to login to the system
and get e-mail. To get an account, fill out the COD Enterprise
Network Account Request form found on the Employee Portal
(http://my.cod.edu),
print, and obtain required signatures. (Complete instructions
are linked to the form.) Send the completed form to Keith Conlee
in Information Technology, SRC 2001. You will know your account
is active when
a copy of your form is returned to you through inter-campus mail.
The Enterprise Network account form is also used to modify or discontinue
access. |
What if you need additional access privileges?
The same COD Enterprise
Network Account Request form is key for gaining access to other
systems. You will use this form to select all of the systems you need
to access.
For each additional application, you will fill out an additional form
and attach this form to the Enterprise Network Account Request form. In most cases,
your
supervisor can direct you in selecting the appropriate applications needed
in performance of your duties.
Frequently Asked Questions
- I just want an e-mail account. What form do I fill out?
Fill out the Enterprise
Network Account Request form and submit to Information Technology,
SRC 2001.
- I have an account. How do I access my e-mail off-campus?
You do not need another request form. Refer to Using
Outlook Web Access for complete instructions.
- My employee left and I want to remove her access to the system.
How do I do this?
Use the Enterprise
Network Account Request form to discontinue access for the former
employee.
- I have a new employee and she needs access to the system. Should
I just tell the new employee to sign on as the former employee?
This is inadvisable for security reasons. Use two Enterprise
Network Account Request forms. One to discontinue access for the
former employee, and one to obtain access for the new.
- How do I know what access I need?
Your supervisor should be able to advise you in which systems you will
be using to perform your job duties.
