The function and role of FTAC:

Information Technology advisory committees were established to improve communications, provide focus and direction for planning, policies and procedures in support of technology on campus.

The FTAC goals and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Evaluate and approve funding of office technology mini-grants (hardware, software, development, exceptions to the replacement plan and the computer long term checkout)
  • Develop and recommend faculty office technology policies and procedures
  • Evaluate faculty office technology resources and support
  • Provide feedback to the divisional faculty and administrators
  • Review, prioritize, recommend faculty office technology initiatives
  • Review the Faculty Office Computer Replacement Plan
  • Review and provide feedback regarding the Information Technology Strategic and Operational Plans

Meetings are typically held on the second Monday of each month (the exception being Holidays or school closings) from September thru May, starting at 3:00pm and lasting no later than 4:30pm.
