Clearing the Browser Cache

Clearing the browser cache is an important maintenance activity that should be performed regularly. How often the browser cache should be cleared is dependent on how much work you do on the internet. By clearing the browser cache you can ensure that you will receive the latest web pages and in some cases improve the download speed of web pages into your browser.

COD recommends that the browser cache be cleared each time an update is performed on the Blackboard system. When updates are scheduled you will be advised of the time and duration that the Blackboard system will be unavailable. You will also be advised to clear your cache when returning to Blackboard after an update.
