Where do I find it?

What's new about it?

The most important detail instructors need to know about Blackboard 9 is where to find the Edit Mode button. Edit Mode allows instructors to manage their courses. This button is located in the upper‐right corner of each Course area. With Edit Mode ON you can easily manage course content. With Edit Mode OFF you see what your students see.

While earlier versions of Blackboard had a somewhat similar capability (Edit View), it was limited to content areas only. Edit Mode ON provides access to content areas and other areas such as the discussion board, calendar and announcements.

How do I use it?

Start by clicking the Edit Mode OFF button in the upper right corner of the screen.
The button will toggle to ON. When the Edit Mode is ON, contextual menus and other editing tools will be available to manage the content.
