Discussion Board

Where do I find it?

What's new about it?

The Discussion Board function is essentially the same as before, but is now easier to access. Access the Discussion Board from Course Tools in the Control Panel on any screen, or from a Course Menu button (if available).

New notification options are available. Users may receive notifications of new Discussion Board posting activity in the What’s New module, which can include links directly to the forum.

Instructors may now comment on a student's post when grading in the Discussion Board. The comment is seen only by the student.

How do I use it?

Start by turning Edit Mode ON in the upper right corner of the screen.
Access the Discussion Board from Course Tools in the Control Panel on any screen, or from a Course Menu button (if available).
If you want to add a link to a discussion on any content page, click the Add Interactive Tool button at the top of the screen, select Discussion Board, and choose the appropriate options.
