BULLETIN OF THE ILLINOIS GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY

Submissions sought

Published twice yearly, the Bulletin of the Illinois Geographical Society is the official, refereed journal of the Society. All members and subscribing institutions receive the Bulletin automatically. Articles published in the Bulletin deal with all aspects of geography, including geographic education and research in the various subdisciplines. Book reviews also appear. Suitable manuscripts are welcome.

The Editor invites authors of papers on any aspect of Geography or Geographic Education to submit their manuscripts for publication consideration. Authors need not restrict their focus to Illinois topics. Type manuscripts, with double spacing, one side only; and carefully check for accuracy. Manuscripts must come as printed hard copy and as either an emailed attachment to the Editor or by mail on a diskette or CD ROM. The manuscripts should be in Microsoft Word (.doc) format. Photographs, maps, and other graphics must be suitable for reproduction and printing on a 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch page. Illustrations can either be hard copies (originals or excellent reproductions) or on a disk as a JPEG file or TIFF file. All authors must include a 50-100 word abstract with their manuscripts. Although details of style are relatively flexible, headings, notes, and captions should conform with the style utilized in recent issues of the Bulletin. Contributions should not exceed 25 double-spaced pages in length.

Authors should allow at least two months for evaluation of their contribution by the Editor and anonymous referees before the Editor renders a decision concerning suitability for publication in the Bulletin. Do not submit articles that have appeared or have received acceptance for publication in other journals.
