6-Hour Basic Firearms Safety

This course is the prerequisite for the Marksman Training Course beginning in Fall 2017.

Basic Firearms safety provides the basic skills and knowledge necessary to operating a semi-automatic pistol safely. This course includes firearm parts and functions, firearm safety, basic shooting, fundamentals, and basic holster skills. The goal of this course is to have a basic understanding of the semi-automatic pistol and safely demonstrate skills necessary to draw from a holster. FOID is required. Complete 30 round qualification.
