The Social Sciences subdivision offers a wide range of courses that challenge students to critically examine the values, ideologies, social structures, political arrangements and accepted assumptions inherent in today’s society. Certificates and degree programs are available in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Social Science and Sociology. For specific information on each of these subject areas, click on Division Organization.

Social Sciences certificates and degrees prepare students for immediate entry into a number of exciting careers right after graduation. In addition, Social Sciences courses fulfill many of the general education requirements needed for a successful transfer to a baccalaureate-granting institution.
