Barbara Norris

Biography

Barbara Norris has been a Grant Writer/Researcher at College of DuPage since 2005. She is responsible for leading project teams in the development of grant proposals. Duties include assisting project directors in writing proposals, editing draft applications for accuracy, completeness and clarity, and providing timely advice and information on funding opportunities.

Prior to joining College of DuPage, Barbara was a Resource Development Specialist at Southwestern Oregon Community College for more than five years. In addition to her fundraising experience, she has a background in advertising/creative services, marketing and public relations.

Barbara holds a Master of Science degree in communication from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the Council for Resource Development (CRD), and completed the CRD Specialist Training Program in 2001. She is also a member of the Illinois Resource Development Commission (IRDC).
