Credit
Union
DuPage Credit Union is available for loans, savings, checking etc. You can
call them at (630) 942-2050.
Direct
Deposit
Direct deposit of your paycheck is available to all part-time faculty.
Call the Payroll office for forms at Ext. 2459.
Employee
Discount Program
A discount list of vendors is available in Human Resources or on the Employee Portal.
Retirement
(State University Retirement System)
State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is our retirement plan provider.
SURS can be reached at (800) 275-7877. An information packet will be
sent to the new member from SURS. As a member of SURS, you contribute
8 percent of your paycheck to the plan. You choose the type of retirement
plan you want: Traditional, Portable or Self Managed plan. You have
up to six months to make a choice or you will automatically default
to the Traditional plan.
403b, 403b Roth
and 457 Plans
These plans are additional ways to save money for retirement on a pre-tax
basis. If you are interested in more information, please call Human
Resources for a packet of information.
Tuition
Waiver
Part-time faculty members may enroll in one class for credit per term.
There is no restriction on the number of credit hours you can take but limited to one class.
In order to be eligible for this benefit, you must have an assignment
that will pay at least $500 in the term in which you want to enroll
in the class or the term. Enrollment begins the week prior to the beginning
of the term.
You need
to fill out the Tuition Waiver Form (available in Human Resources) and
then take the completed form to Registration to complete the process.
Benefit is for tuition only; fees are not included. Online registration
cannot be used for enrollment.
Life
and Health Insurance
Eligibility: Part-time faculty must earn at least $500 in the term in
which they apply for the coverage. You can only apply for coverage during
the first month of the term for which you are eligible or during the
Open Enrollment period, Oct. 1 to 31.
Part-time
faculty members may apply for life and health insurance coverage, including
hospital, medical, prescription, dental and vision. After application
is made, you will receive confirmation of approval for the coverage
from the Lifestyles plan. Call ext. 3957 and request a packet.
