Financial Aid services provides a comprehensive range of student financial
aid services. These services bridge the gap between the financial resources
of the students and their families and the cost of education at College
of DuPage, eliminating the economic barrier to obtaining an education.
Important Dates/Announcements
Attention:
2008-2009 scholarship awards will be determined by the start of Fall
term. Please make appropriate payment arrangements. If you are awarded
a scholarship, you will be reimbursed. Calls regarding the status
of scholarships will not be returned.
Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008
Students may begin filling out the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal
Student Aid, FAFSA. Please
be wary of services that charge a fee for completing the FAFSA.
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
ALL completed financial aid paperwork must be submitted
to our office to be considered for the Student-to-Student Grant and/or
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant for 2008-2009. Paperwork
received after this date will continue to be processed until funds are
exhausted.

Semester 2008 Scholarship Applications are due

The “census date” for financial aid purposes.
Your Pell disbursement is normally based upon your enrollment as of the “census
date.” If your file is processed after the census date, your
Pell disbursement could be determined by your enrollment hours at that
time. If you initial registration occurs after the “census
date,” your Pell disbursement will be based upon those enrollment
hours. Subsequent enrollment hours after the “census date” will
not increase your Pell award.

All completed financial aid paperwork must be submitted to the Office
of Student Financial Aid for a student to be eligible to request a tuition
payment extension for the Fall Semester 2008. Payment will be extended
until Friday, October 17th . Students who submit paperwork after August
20th will be responsible for payment of their classes and books.
Once eligibility is determined, students may be reimbursed accordingly.

SOP APEAL DEADLINE. Students who wish to appeal their financial aid discontinuance
for the Fall Semester 2008 must submit all completed paperwork to our
office for the Financial Aid Committee to review. Students will receive
a letter regarding the decision of the committee about 2 to 4 weeks after
the deadline. THE COMMITTEE'S DECISION IS FINAL.
