Accelerated Format

Once admitted to the AFT program, the student can complete an associate's degree by attending one class meeting per week over an approximate two- to two-and-one-half-year period. To supplement the program and to help students achieve their unique academic goals, the college provides a number of other nontraditional flexible and self-paced learning options for students to blend into the Adult Fast Track program:

Weekend courses are taught in an accelerated format with classes meeting on alternate weekends.

C.O.D. Online course allow students to study at home, work or by using the college's networked computer resources.

Flexible self-paced courses can be taken through the Center for Independent Learning.

Earn credit for what has been previously learned and mastered by passing a CLEP or credit by proficiency exam.

Gain credit while working through the Cooperative Education/Internship program. (Does not include the AFT Human Services Generalist program.)

Other Academic Alternatives and Instructional Support programs provide additional nontraditional formats that provide flexible scheduling and experiential field experiences.
