The Adult Fast Track (AFT) program is an accelerated program
for adults 24 years and older who are seriously committed to continuing
their education, but require accommodation for their busy lifestyles.
While the AFT program is intensive and rigorous, it is manageable for
individuals who are highly motivated and self-disciplined. Completion
of all coursework results in the attainment of a certificate or an associate's
degree.
Degree Programs
In general, depending on the program, students enrolled in the AFT program
can complete their degree by attending one class meeting per week over
an approximate two- to two-and one-half-year period. Available AFT programs
include an Associate in Arts (A.A.) and Associate in General Studies (A.G.S.)
degrees, as well as an Associate in Applied Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in
Human Services Generalist.
Certificate Programs
AFT currently offers a certificate in Physician Office Coding and Billing.
This certificate can be completed in less than two semesters by attending
no more than one class meeting per week. New cohort groups begin each
fall term.
AFT Administration
The AFT program is headquartered at the College of DuPage
Westmont Regional Center. Students interested in participating in
the AFT program must submit an application through the Westmont Center
for consideration.
All degrees and certificates offered through the AFT program are fully
accredited by the North Central Association and the Illinois Community
College Board (ICCB).
NEW! Non-AFT
students may now take selected AFT courses. Please contact AFT adviser
Kathy Riley at 630.942.FAST regarding this new opportunity.
