Update (12/31/05)
The H.E.I. project will be placed on hold at the completion of the schematic design phase, until funding for this project becomes available.

Update (11/30/05)
Schematic design review is in progress. Budgeting/estimating is in progress.

Update (10/31/05)
Program/budget reconciliation is complete. The project is currently in schematic design.

Update (9/30/05)
This project is currently in the schematic design phase. C.O.D. staff and DuPage County officials are coordinating the development of program areas for the C.O.D. Healthcare Education Institute.

Update (8/31/05)
Program verification is complete. Currently, this project is in the schematic design phase. College of DuPage staff and DuPage County officials have been coordinating on developing program areas for the College of DuPage Healthcare Education Institute.

Update (5/31/05)
Collaborative committee meetings were held May 11 to survey individual department needs and verify the program statement. Once this effort is complete, schematic design will commence with a target completion of late June. The preliminary schedule and monthly report documents have been created to ease communication between the college and the county. Grant funding activities are still ongoing under the direction of the County of DuPage with assistance from C.O.D.

Update (4/30/05)
The contract between the architect and the County of DuPage was completed April 12. The design team includes the following firms: Architect and MEP Engineer – OWP/P, Civil Engineer – Jacob & Hefner, and Landscape Architect – David McCallum & Associates. Early in May, the needs assessment and program verification meetings will take place.

Update (3/31/05)
The C.O.D. Facilities Planning & Construction department (FP&C), along with representatives from Academic Affairs, worked together with DuPage County officials to select OWP/P Architects for this project. FP&C and DuPage County are currently in the process of finalizing the architect’s contract for design services. Concurrently, FP&C is working with the project committee to develop a final program statement and a mission and vision statement for this facility. When completed, the architect’s contract is anticipated to be approved by the DuPage County Board on Tuesday, April 12. Once approved by the county, the contract will be presented to the C.O.D. Board of Trustees.
