TLC Tips of the Week:                          from Helen Olberg

This tip applies to PowerPoint 2003.

When viewing a PowerPoint 2003 slide show, using the right mouse button will cause a pop-up menu to appear on your slide. There are times when you want to use this menu, but there are other times when you don’t. Here’s how to keep the slide show “clean” and “professional-looking”:

To prevent the pop-up menu from appearing when you click the right mouse-button:

1. In design view select Tools > Options.
2. When the Options multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the View tab.
3. Underneath Slide show, uncheck Show menu on right mouse click.
4. Click OK to close the dialog box.
