TLC Tips of the Week:                          from Helen Olberg

This week’s tip applies to MS Outlook or Outlook Web Access.

Here's how to send an email to all the individuals in your distribution list, so that each name appears by itself in the To: line to the individual:

If the email message is the same for all the recipients (mass email):

1. Create a distribution list (group) in Outlook or Outlook Web Access containing all the email addresses.

2. Create a new email message. Fill in the body text and the Subject: line.

3. In the To: field put your own email address.

4. In the BCC: field put the distribution list (group) name. That way, the addresses in your list will not be shown to any of the members.

5. Send it.

If the email message is different for each of the recipients, you need to send them individually or with a specialized program.
