Student
Leadership Council (SLC)
Student Leadership Council is an organization of students working for
students and was formed to preserve and protect students' rights, interests
and opinions. SLC represents the student view to the administration, and
assists students with issues and concerns. Participation provides an opportunity
for motivated, responsible and dedicated people to supplement their education
with leadership experience. Elections for Student Body President and Vice
President are held in April. Coordinators’ of Operations,
Finance, and Outreach are elected in May, and/or as needed by the membership
in a business meeting. All registered students have a vote at the
regular weekly meetings, per the SLC Operating Documents. All students
are encouraged to participate in SLC meetings, Servant Leadership activities,
and activities related to the SLC goals and action plans.
