Truck Enforcement Officer Training

Tuition: $75 (Before December 1, 2012) and $100 (Beginning December 2, 2012)

Program Information:

The Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in collaboration with the Illinois Truck Enforcement Association and the above organizations invite all truck enforcement officers (state, county and local) to a truck officer conference on January 9, 2013, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The training conference will be held in the “New” Homeland Security Education Center at the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL.  This training environment is state of the art with an immersive street lab for practical training scenarios.

This 8-hour conference will serve as a refresher course for those getting back into truck enforcement and as an update on the extensive legislative changes effective in 2013.  Many new laws are going into effect on January 1, 2013 that effect size/weight, bond procedure, registration, CDL’s and permits.  Come hear speakers from each of the organizations above who were instrumental in the legislative changes and oversee the agencies with the regulatory authority.

Representatives from the ITEA, the IDOT permit office, the ISP Commercial Vehicle Training Team and the directors from the SOS divisions of CDL services/Commercial and Farm Truck will be on hand to present and answer your questions about the changes.

**Cancellations for this class must be received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being billed!**
