Hours: 8
Tuition: $150
Program Information:
With ever changing technology all too often
teens have placed themselves into situations that have resulted in
negative life time consequences. “Sexting” is a new technology driven
trend that has law enforcement unsure on how to deal with our kids who
are manufacturing their own child pornography and distributing it. This
8 - hour program will examine the Why? How? When? Where? And What NEXT?
Program participants will learn about the need to educate our children
on the dangers and effects of “Sexting“ in addition to providing law
enforcement with proactive measures that will reduce victimization. As a
class, we will form a safety plan for law enforcement to deal
effectively with the teens that are committing these crimes and give
parents the tools to successfully monitor their children. Through the
use of SLEA’s Digital Lab students will perform exercises that will
facilitate them in understanding “Sexting” while learning how to
investigate these offenses.
Topics Include:
- Examining laws of Possession,
Manufacturing and Distributing Child Pornography
- Sex Offender and “Sexting” Laws
- Investigating “Sexting”

offenses. These new laws are designed to keep our children from being
arrested for the manufacture of child pornography and becoming sex
