Raid Executions on Clandestine Labs Environment and Response to
Household Chemical Explosives and Detonators
Hours: 16
Tuition: $195
Program Information:
This 16 hour informational /
tactical application course is designed for all law enforcement; patrol,
narcotic, gang, high risk warrant units, swat, bomb technicians and all
fire department personnel. The participants will recognize the elements
of clandestine laboratory dangers and hazards, the methods of production
of different types of drugs along with improvised apparatus and
household chemicals used for synthesizing process. In addition, the
participants will learn what household chemicals and products are used
in the manufacturing of booby traps, improvised explosives and
detonators deployed by laboratory operators. Several scientific
experiments will be conducted to demonstrate the reaction of household
chemical products, and what detrimental health effects they may possibly
have on first responder personnel. Participants will then conduct
tactical raids and negotiate through a clandestine laboratory
environment. This exercise is designed to identify the type of
laboratory method of production being utilized, and what counter
measures to employ to locate improvised booby traps. This will
assist participants in executing a safe and successful raid on the
clandestine laboratory environment.
