Program Information:
Many departments have taken the
initiative of purchasing manual breaching tools for their agency’s
patrol vehicles however have only trained special operations or tactical
officers in their use. In the age of rapid deployment and a need for
immediate action by responding officers, this type of training is
mission essential. There have been numerous active assailants who have
fortified the location of their attack, most notably Seung-Hui Cho
at Virginia Tech in 2007. This 8-hour course is designed for
patrol officers and tactical operators. This training will contain
instruction on door mechanics, breaching doors and windows, and ingress
through the breach point. Upon completing this training, students will
be able to properly utilize manual breaching tools for high-risk
entries. This course will be comprised practical exercises in SLEA’s 4-D
immersive “tactical village” using “ Breaching Technologies” breaching
doors and windows.
Registration for this program is
restricted to law enforcement.

**Cancellations for this class must be received
by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being
