Management of Death/Homicide Investigations for Law Enforcement
Administrators and Command Staff
This class has been approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training
and Standards Board as (6) hours training, meeting the requirements of
Public Training Act 94-354, 10.7 mandatory training for Police Chiefs
and Deputy Chiefs.

Program Information:
The successful
investigation of deaths/homicides is predicated on the hard work of
investigators and detectives. Equally important is the essential
management aspect that these cases require. This 6-hour program
developed for Chiefs/Sheriff’s and Command Staff will highlight the
protocol process of a homicide investigation from its inception to
completion. The curriculum also places emphasis on the management of
the various components within these investigations, i.e. staffing,
tasks, etc.

**Cancellations for this class must be received
by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being
