Program Information:

This 16-hour course instructs on the tactics of criminal and narcotic enforcement for patrol officers by placing them in live, role player situations. Each student will be tasked with identifying criminal behavior, articulating the detention of the suspected criminal, gathering probable cause, conducting a search, discovering various methods of hidden contraband, evidence seizure, documentation of actions, and ultimately court testimony.

Topics Include:

• Identifying criminal driving and physical behavior

• Live traffic stop approach

• Vehicle content examination

• Hands-on vehicle search procedures

• Hotel/Motel Investigative approaches

• Residential Consent Search Scenario-based Training

• Live evidence seizure

• Pertinent documentation of actions and report writing

• Court testimony

**Cancellations for this class must be received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being billed!**
