Nothing can be highly charged, both in a law enforcement agency and
the public, as internal affairs. A fair internal affairs process can improve
ethics, morale, and support from the community. Proper management and
investigation of complaints against law enforcement personnel is crucial
to the well-being of a department. This 2-day, program will provide the
participants the knowledge and insights to administer and conduct timely,
objective and thorough internal affairs inquiries.

- How supervision affects departmental climate
- Criminal versus administrative investigations

- Impact of civilian oversight on law enforcement
- Police shooting investigations
**Cancellations for this class must be
received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order
to avoid being billed!**
