Program Information:
Evidentiary known standards
obtained from suspects are often required for laboratory analysis of
trace and other evidence recovered from crime scenes. These standards
must be collected legally and using best practices to eliminate cross
contamination and maximize officer safety. It is also often necessary to
photograph victims’ injuries and collect trace evidence from victims of
crimes such as domestic battery and sexual assault.
This 8-hour course will
discuss:

the collection of suspect standards

The eye witness system of
evidence collection

Officer and suspect safety
-
The ten rules of suspect
standards collection
This hands on workshop will
provide training in the collection of the following evidentiary items
from suspects and live victims:
**Cancellations for this class must be received
by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid
being billed!**
