Community
Service Officers (CSO) are vital to the good order and operations of
law enforcement agencies. In a day and age of decreased law enforcement
budgets, CSO’s have proven to complement police operations in
a variety of functions that in turn have allowed law enforcement agencies
to better allocate sworn policing services. This 3 day, 24 hour program
will provide students with the necessary foundation to facilitate their
being an asset to the communities they serve, while emphasizing the
important role CSO’s have in achieving their department’s
Mission.

for this class must be received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of
