This 16-hour, two day course is designed for recently promoted or assigned
detectives. Special attention will be given for career success and survival
strategies, as well as understanding the investigator’s role in
the organization.
This inter-active seminar will provide a unique and necessary perspective
into the investigative process with specific focus on the development
of the detective’s working philosophy, and the honing of critical
thinking skills. Concepts such as “crime reconstruction”
utilizing the scientific method, logical reasoning, sources of information,
criminology and victimology will be introduced. In addition, “crime
scene analysis” using a methodical, systematic and orderly process
will be emphasized in an effort to enhance the detective’s interpretation
of events.
