This one-day,
8 hour program has been designed with the purpose of familiarizing police
records personnel with day to day operations, policies and procedures
common to most police department records sections. Emphasis will be
placed on adopting responsive and friendly customer service practices.
Topics
Include:
• Responding to requests for information
• Understanding internal processes
• Police reports, mail and court documents
• Retention of records issues
• Information releases such as FOIA and HIPAA
• Record expungements
**Cancellations for this class must be received
by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid
being billed!**
