Program
Information:
This 40-hour hands-on certification program is designed for law enforcement
personnel, coroners or medical examiners who have responsibilities as
they relate to crime scene evidence identification, collection and preservation.
Instructors:
John L. Larsen, FBI Senior Team Leader (Retired) Chicago Division, Evidence
Response Team and Agents from that team who are police certified instructors.
This course
is built upon a curriculum in keeping with principles laid out by the
International Association for Identification (IAI). Its structure will
assist those students in obtaining the IAI Crime Scene Investigator
(CSI) certification and will also provide the necessary foundation for
SLEA’s advanced Crime Scene Technician/Investigator courses: Bloodstain
Evidence, Bullet Trajectory Reconstruction and Death Investigation programs.
