Anti-Gang Strategies for Patrol Officers

Hours: 8
Tuition: $125

Program Information:

Street gangs continue to remain a serious problem and are plaguing many communities throughout the United States. In many instances police departments do not have the resources and lack a separate specialized unit to address gang violence so they have come to rely on patrol supervisors and officers. This one day 8-hour program is intended to provide patrol supervisors and officers with the strategies for controlling gang activity and reducing gang-related crime within their own communities.

Examples of Topical Areas:

  • Conducting a Gang Assessment in Your Community

  • Collecting Gang Intelligence

  • Gang Suppression Strategies/Legal Issues

  • Utilizing Abatement Ordinances and Statues

**Cancellations for this class must be received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being billed!**
