applications continues to rise across this nation at a steady rate as
parents and communities become aware of the vulnerability of our children
through these sites. In addition some users of Facebook ,ooVoo, Skype,Omega,
Instagram, Words with Friends and Twitter have depicted evidence of
criminal offences they have committed through dialog and/or pictures
or videos. Learn how to Investigations in these Social Networks/Phone
Applications can facilitate a successful prosecution of your online
targets.
This 8
hour program has been developed to facilitate law enforcement agencies
in understanding the use of social networking sites in building complete
cases that can ultimately be presented to local prosecutors for charging.
Officers attending this training will gain first hand experience in
navigating computer sites through the use of the Suburban Law Enforcement
Academy’s (SLEA) Computer Lab.

on how social networks could help your case
- Learning
the Law Enforcement advantages to Social Networking
- What
court documents you need to get information from these networks
- Learn
how to access cell phone applications and what information the cell
carriers have on them
- Learn
how to access "Private" Social network pages
- Learn
about the Electronic Communications and Privacy Act (ECPA) and what
this federal law offers law enforcement. This also includes Searching,
Seizing and Analyzing computers and computer related investigations.

how to obtain evidence from these sites using Snag It.
