Course Description:
This
fast moving session examines and analyzes the differences, similarities
and issues involving the various generatins that come together in the
workplace. The workshop presents the latest data related to managing
and motivating employees of all ages. The view, behaviors and attitudes
of the diverse age groups are explored in a thought provoking approach
that will leave you with the insights about how to work successfully
with people from all generations.
This course focuses
on four key aspects of motivation in law enforcement agencies:

challenges facing law enforcement agencies

The challenges
of diverse groups (generational, gender and ethnic diversity

Techniques for
motivating diverse groups and personalities

The supervisor’s
style and how he/she should address motivating their personnel
Instructor: Lewis
G. Bender, Ph.D.
Lewis Bender is
Professor Emeritus at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. Dr.
Bender has researched and taught a wide variety of courses related to
management and supervision. He is a specialist in helping teams and
organizations to become more effective and efficient. Dr. Bender has a
Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia, and a Masters
Degree from Wayne State University.
