This 8-hour program is designed to prepare first responders to recognize
Improvised Explosive devices. Upon completion first responders will
be able to recognize and investigate incidents involving the use of
explosives, explosive devices and explosive incendiary devices. Class
consists of instruction and practical's.

Sergeant Larry Drish, Commander for the Cook County Sheriff's Police,
IL (Bomb Unit)
Drish is a 36 year veteran of the Cook County Sheriff's Department.
He has been a Certified Bomb Technician for 24 years and an Explosive
Detection K9 handler since 2009. Supervising a full-time bomb unit which
handles over 350 calls a year. Larry is also a member of the Joint Terrorism
Task Force with the FBI, carrying credentials as a U.S. Marshall. He
is a certified instructor with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training
and Standards Board. Larry has provided training Federal, State, County,
local Police and Fire Departments.
