Advanced Physical Surveillance

PROGRAM INFORMATION:
This 16-hour course has been developed to provide advanced surveillance techniques to law enforcement personnel tasked with conducting covert surveillance operations. This often overlooked, and under trained, investigative and intelligence gathering tool can be an essential part of any investigative agency. With and emphasis on field training practical exercises, participants will build on basic surveillance protocols and learn proven techniques used in counterterror and counterintelligence investigations. Participants should have prior surveillance experience or taken the basic course, and are required to bring a vehicle for field exercises.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

• Designated times for practical exercises
• Review of protocol basics and techniques
• Designating a “team leader”
• Understanding the team concept
• Effective Communication and Protocols
• Time and Distance rule
• Type of Physical Surveillance
• Evidence gathering and chain of custody
• Handling paranoia or over confidence

 

**Cancellations for this class must be received by SLEA 35 days prior to the start of the program in order to avoid being billed!**
