The Encore Shop is a resale shop in downtown Wheaton, Illinois and is operated by and for the benefit of individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. All proceeds from the shop are used to expand vocational opportunities for individuals who have mental illness. On a daily basis, it is operated by volunteers from NAMI of DuPage.
The Encore Project provides prevocational experience for clients in a business setting and prepares them for competitive employment. It provides a meaningful activity through which they can contribute to their community. It also helps to preserve our environment.
