Description of Organization:
The Mosaic Initiative is a grassroots non-profit organization committed to preventing the spread of HIV by building partnerships and coalitions with the vision of creating healthy communities.
Description of Service Learner Role:
They are looking for service learning students to help set up a MySpace and Facebook page for the Internet. As well as research information regarding Internet dating services. Other needs include event support for such events as their Ecumenical Youth Bike Ride and World AIDS Day Prayer Breakfast. Students will have the opportunity to interface with people living with HIV, learn about the current facts and statistics locally, nationally, and internationally, and learn how to address the constant challenge of doing prevention work when treatment needs seem overwhelming.
