Description of Organization:
Jefferson Preschool is operated by Wheaton-Warrenville School District 200 and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We serve students both with and without disabilities between the ages of 3 and 5 that reside within district boundaries.
The preschool curriculum is aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards and emphasizes skill development in the areas of speech/language, social/emotional, readiness and physical skill development.
We value parent/school partnerships and provide parent education workshops and opportunities for parent networking. Jefferson Preschool also has an active PTA.
Description of Service Learner Role:
The service learner will be asked to work with students as agreed upon between the teacher and service learner.
Organization Requirements:
Confidentiality is strictly adhered to and each service learner will be asked to read and sign a confidentiality statement prior to beginning the program.
All service learners must be fingerprinted prior to beginning.
