Description of Organization:
Gateway Special Recreation Association (SRA) is affiliated with the Ray Graham Association. Gateway SRA provides year round recreational activities to approximately 150 families with disabilities or special needs. Gateway SRA serves the following park agencies: Burr Ridge, Countryside, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Pleasant Dale, Westchester, Willowbrook and York Center.
Description of Service Learner Role:
The service learners' role will be to assist with recreational activities. Being able to work closely with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a must.
Organization Requirements:
Be courteous and respectful to all the individuals and staff you come in contact with. Be prompt and willing to lend a helping hand.
