Description of Organization:
DuPage P.A.D.S. is recognized in DuPage County for providing temporary shelter and transitional and permanent housing for people without homes. They design, implement and manage programs and services for men, women and children who are homeless. They have a day support center for people in crisis where they provide case management services, employment support, health services, and housing solutions.

Description of Service Learner Role:
The Support Center provides participants lunch, access to laundry and computers, employment training and other assistance.  Service learning students are needed to serve lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. each day.  Students are also needed to assist participants with use of computers - answering questions about computer programs and giving advice regarding cover letters and resumes.

Organization Requirements:
Computer skills are needed.
An orientation is required and provided upon first visit.
