Volunteers who greet visitors and interact with the public can volunteer during our open hours above. Office volunteers can volunteer Monday through Friday between 9-5 pm
Description of Organization:
DCM is an interactive, hands-on Children's Museum whose mission is to stimulate
curiosity, creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills in young children.
Description of Service Learner Role:
Serve as exhibit facilitator/interact with visitors; data entry and office-work, exhibit maintenance (filling sandbags, making magnets); may develop other duties based on course goals and museum's needs
Organization Requirements:
Minimum 2 hr./wk. commitment. Orientation required: 1 hr. 30 min. info session. Orientation offered twice a month on the first Tuesday morning from 10-11:30 am and on the third Thursday evening from 7-8:30 pm. Three-hour training session required for those who volunteer with children. Training offered once a month on the third Thursday evening from 6-9 pm.
