Developmental Reading/Writing; Multiple Intelligence Theories and
modifications for instruction; recent discoveries in brain research
and how to apply this knowledge in our reading/writing programs; student
motivation and the transfer of responsibility for learning from teacher
to student.

Working on my dissertation for a doctoral degree in Literacy Education at NIU; conducting a research project at COD with English 0482 students on intertextuality, reading and learning from multiple texts, and critical reading and thinking.
