Counseling Eating Disorders I

4 credit hours

Focuses on the knowledge of eating disorders and treatment resources available. Includes an explanation of clinical skills needed to conduct an assessment of the biological, social and psychological needs of the client and family. Also provides an opportunity to participate by role play in the treatment of eating disorder clients from assessment through completion of treatment. Prerequisites: Human Services 211, 113, 245 and Psychology 260. (3 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
