Dual and Multiple Diagnoses

5 credit hours

A review of the similarities and differences among mental illness, addictions, eating disorders, and developmental disabilities and the treatment implications of having two or more of these. Case studies are supplemented with practice in applying treatment strategies to provide skills acquisition in dealing with this population. Prerequisites: Human Services 125 and 130 or consent of instructor. (4 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
