Purpose:
In honor of Rotary’s philosophy of “service above self” and to further the message of “Rotary Shares,” this scholarship is established to assist students with financial need who are seeking degrees in careers where they will be giving back to others.

Eligibility to apply:
• Must demonstrate financial need by filing the 2008-2009 FAFSA. C.O.D. must receive results by application deadline
• Must be seeking a degree in a field where they will be giving back to others such as, but not limited to, Early Childhood Education and Care, Health Careers, Human Services and/or Education/Teacher Preparation. Special preference given to students pursuing careers in fields working with special needs or disadvantaged children.
• Must have and maintain a cumulative 2.0 G.P.A
• May be full or part-time student at C.O.D
• Preference given to a single-parent - male or female (not married with dependant child or children)
• Recipients MUST attend one meeting of the Rotary Club of Naperville Downtown to be recognized and share experiences
