2 @ $2,500 per semester (4 awards each year)

Deadline:
May 1, 2010 for Fall
November 1, 2010 for Spring

Purpose:
With many in their family who attended College of DuPage, the Reed family would like to assist students by providing a merit based scholarship for those studying in the Math and Applied Sciences area of the College with preference given to a student majoring in the engineering field. In addition, the award is named after S.C. Reed, a man of high moral standards and a strong leader who worked in the engineering field.

Eligibility:
• Must be a full-time student in the Math and Applied Sciences sub-division at C.O.D. with preference given to a student majoring in the engineering field
• Must have attended C.O.D. for one semester or more
• Must have and maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
• Must be self-motivated, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and be of high moral standards
• Must be a student who is working while taking classes
• Must be a student who excels in Mathematics with preference given to a student who has successfully completed part or all of the Calculus series
• Financial need is not a consideration for this scholarship


Terms:

To be used for tuition, books, computers and supplies, and/or fees

Selection Process:
One faculty member form the area of Math and Applied Sciences will serve on the selection committee.
