Brian Fugiel Memorial Meteorological Scholarship (G348)

Source of Support:
Carl Fugiel, brother Brian; Sandra Wimmer, mother of Brian; and Raymond Fugiel, father of Brian

Award Amount:
1 @ $500 annually

Deadline:
February 15, 2010 for Spring & Summer

Purpose:
To provide students an opportunity to personally experience storm chasing and thunderstorms.

Eligibility:
• Must register for ESAS 1800 or ESAS 2800 (Detailed information at www.weather.cod.edu/chasing)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be pursuing or intend to pursue Meteorology Education
• Preference given to a student who demonstrate financial need. Must file 2009-2010 FAFSA and C.O.D. must receive information by deadline


Terms:
• To be used for C.O.D. Thunderstorm Lab course trip fees

Selection Process:
Students must apply by completing an application through the Financial Aid Office. A committee comprised of the Advisor of AMS and AMS members will select students to receive awards. A Foundation representative will approve the selection process
