Purpose:
To support a student of Hispanic ancestry

Requirements
• May be high school graduate or continuing freshman
• Must come from a family in which at least one of the parents is of Hispanic ancestry
• Must be a resident of District 502
• Must have a GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 3.5 out of 5.0
• Must have less than 30 semester hours of college level credit at time of application
• Must submit two letters of recommendation from either college or high school counselors or instructors, supervisors, or local community leaders. This letter must be written by someone other than a family member
• Must include a copy of high school or college transcript
• Must provide a 500-word essay on future goals and how you would use your education to assist the Hispanic community
