Orientation to Online Courses

The Office Technology Information program will offer an Orientation to Online Courses. You may choose to attend one of the following:

• Monday, January 22, 2007, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in room SCC 102 (Seaton Computing Center) or
• Thursday, February 1, 2007, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in room SCC 102.

If this is your first online course from the OFTI program, you are encouraged to attend one of the above orientations. You are also welcome to attend if you would like a review of the following information that will be covered.

• A demonstration of our online course management system, Anlon, will be given. The course syllabus, course materials, and how to enter quizzes/exams will be shown.

• A demonstration on how to load software that is required in some of our courses (OFTI 1100, 1110, and 1120).

• An introduction of myCOD Campus Cruiser e-mail will be given.

• We will also include a demonstration on how to access Snap! Assessment software. This is required software in the OFTI 1210 and 1215 courses.

If there is time at the end of the session, you will be given an opportunity to individually “log in” to Anlon, myCOD, and Snap! You will need to bring the following:

• Social Security Number
• PIN (Forgot your four-digit PIN? Please contact the registration office at (630) 942-2377 and press 2. When entering your SSN, do NOT use hyphens or dashes.)
• myCOD log in ID:

What is my Log In ID?

Your Log In ID and initial e-mail password were sent to you in a letter when the account was created.

If you are not sure of your Log In ID, you should go to https://weblink.cod.edu/login, sign on with your student ID and PIN, then click on "Student Personal Information."  Your email address will be displayed there.  The part before the @dupage.edu in your email address is your Log In ID for the MyCOD student portal.  Do not include @dupage.edu as part of the Log In ID.

What is my initial password?

The initial password, for a new account, is shown on the letter you received from registration.  When your password was created it was the first two letters of the city you live in, plus your PIN.  For example, if a student lived in Naperville, and had a PIN of 1070 then their initial password would be:          na1070

• Snap! You must bring your Snap! User’s Guide included in your OFTI 1210 and 1215 text.
