Student and Academic Support Services Counseling and Advising Services – This link provides you with an overview of the various counseling and advising services available to students who are seeking assistance with career or graduation planning and education- related decision making. You will also learn about the differences in roles between counselors and faculty advisers how to access services on campus in Glen Ellyn. You can also meet with a counselor off-campus. Advising Tools are a collection of online resources to assist in program and course planning toward a degree or transfer. Transfer Guides - For students planning to transfer course work to an Illinois four-year college. This valuable source provides a list by college of equivalent C.O.D. courses, transfer information and direct links to the four-year colleges homepages. Advising and Transfer
Center – This Center, which is located on campus in Glen Ellyn is the
primary source for transfer planning information, course equivalency charts,
college catalogs, advising-related materials and most printed program
planning materials. You can also arrange to meet with a general adviser or be
referred to a faculty adviser in a particular academic program of study to
advise you on course selection and planning. This website link will explain
the services and hours of operation for this office. Earning Credit By Demonstrated Competence – If you think you may already be proficient in one or more of our credit courses at the college, learn how you can arrange to get college credit for what you may already know through the services of our Assessment and Testing Office. Student and Academic Support Services at C.O.D. – This is an index of on line links to a variety of C.O.D. services ranging from C.O.D.’s Health Services Office to the academic support areas of writing and math assistance available at the college. The services of both the Writing Assistance Center and the Math Assistance Center on campus in Glen Ellyn are provided on a walk-in basis for students needing short term assistance. you to arrange for comprehensive Financial Aid services provided through
state, federal and local sources of grants, loans and student work programs. Records Office Services – This office oversees all academic records. Here you will learn about degree audit services, management of grade reports, veterans federal benefits, and how to apply for graduation. You may download a Transcript Request Form to arrange for your academic transcript to be mailed to another college or employer. |
